The Predators won in overtime on a brilliant feed from Jordin Tootoo to Jerred Smithson to send the series back to Nashville with the Predators holding a 3-2 series lead. Good times had by all and much rejoicing throughout the realms of Smashville. Another occurence happened that night, one that David Legwand and many of the NHL top goal countdowns will remember for a very long time…Bobby Ryan and his goal at :40 of the third period. It was in other words: sick, and Legwand is still looking for his jock somewhere in the rafters of the Honda Center after being thoroughly undressed not once but twice on the play. Rather than having to face such a dynamic goal scorer with hands softer than a Goose-down pillow, maybe the Predators should make a play to get Bobby Ryan out of the orange and black and into the gold and blue. Much like fellow Predatorian James’ observation (which is spot on ...

Suter's comments and his future with the Preds

On Friday, Ryan Suter said that he would not sign a new contract before the February 27 trade deadline, instead opting to wait until after the season is over. Many experts (staring at you, ESPN) took this to mean that he would not be staying with Nashville after this season, or that he would at least test the waters of free agency. Thus, Nashville would be wise to shop Suter around...

As expected, the Hardest Shot competition at the 2012 NHL All-Star Skills Competition came down to two players. Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara and Nashville Predators captain Shea Weber. Tim Panaccio: Suter Will Delay Re-signing

You don't always get "news" out of an All-Star Game, but we got some today from Nashville's Ryan Suter. Myself, Pierre Lebrun and Nick Cotsonika interviewed Ryan Suter about his intentions on re-signing before the trade deadline and for the first time, he spelled them out. He's going to WAIT until the summer. And I think it might be off the market to every...

Could the Toronto Maple Leafs be looking at Ryan Clowe?

“He’s trying. He’s trying hard. He definitely wants to get bigger,” a league executive said Thursday. I believe this statement, but General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs Brian Burke, has one month to pull off a deal before the February 27th NHL trade deadline. A player on the Maple Leafs radar could be San Jose Sharks winger Ryane Clowe Clowe, at age...
