PLAYERS:
Michael St.Croix
Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that after picking up an assist last night, Michael St. Croix (2011-4th) extended his point streak to eight games (4g, 7a). St. Croix now has 25g, 35a on the season.
...after St. Croix scored 50+ goals last season, I was real curious as to how he'd follow it up. And up until this point, while he likely won't hit 50 again, it doesn't look like he's missed a beat.
...not that the Rangers can call him up, but man they could sure use some of St. Croix's goals right about now.
Speaking of scoring goals, the Rangers 2012 second round pick Cristoval "Boo" Nieves had his first two goal, three point game for the University of Michigan last night. Nieves, a freshman, now has 6g, 13a on the season, which is good for second best on the team.
...really looking forward to yelling "Boooooooooooooooooooooooo" in a good way at MSG in the very near future.
