We move back to the forward position for today’s player reviews. These three forwards all represent a different part of the future for the Blues. TJ Hensick and Adam Cracknell are potential third and fourth line grinders while David Perron is a perennial star in the making. TJ Hensick: Hensick was acquired by St. Louis from Colorado for struggling forward Julian Talbot early in the summer. Hensick had spent the previous three seasons with the Avalanche and their minor league affiliate. In 2008-09, Hensick showed a flash of his potential with 4 goals and 17 assists in 61 games played. Last season, Hensick played the majority of the year in the minor leagues but with the makeup of the Blues it was a good bet that Hensick could make the NHL roster this year. Hensick’s training camp was unimpressive and that landed him on Peoria’s roster for most of the year, but that would prove to be a good thing.
