Today’s Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy weigh-ins took place at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon.

In the main event, Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is scheduled to defend his title against Tim Kennedy. However, Rockhold was unsuccessful in his first attempt to make weight, coming in a half pound over the limit at 185.5 pounds. Rockhold has two hours to make weight or the fight will become a three-round non-title bout, as well as forfeiting a percentage of his purse. The challenger, Tim Kennedy, successfully made the middleweight limit, weighing in at 184.5 pounds.

In the co-main event, welterweights Nate Marquardt and Tyron Woodley made weight and will battle for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight championship, which was vacated by former champion Nick Diaz.

All other competitors successfully made weight, although Lorenz Larkin had to make two attempts to make 186 pounds.
