The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Rob Rossi scared the s*** out of Wings fans. Pittsburgh Penguins GM Ray Shero apparently attempted to acquire the signing rights to Ryan Suter, but Predators GM David Poile informed Shero that the Preds want to hold onto Suter, let him test the UFA waters and circle back to Nashville: Told #pens are looking into rights to Ryan Suter. They tried similar with Hamhuis 2 years ago #nhldraft ... No on Suter for #pens ... He would not sign before July 1. Shero wants a top 2 pairing, been talking with #coyotes GM #nhldraft ... #pens have deal close with #coyotes #nhldraft This story is in progress and I will update it as necessary.
