Another Season Of Abuse?
Welcome to another hootenany, I mean training camp! Saturday will be the start of physicals and other medical testing to see how the cats measure up. Including the new and improved buff Little Stevie. Rumor has it, actually a story in The Hockey News about him working out this summer with ex-NHLer Gary Roberts. Don’t plan on 51 goals like Stamkos, but it’ll be interesting to see how that shakes out. More on that some other time.
Anyhow I present to you the 2010-2011 Training Camp Roster directly from the Cats website. Couple interesting names on there. Tyler Arnason? Really? Brody Sutter. From the original Sutter clan. Which is not like being from the Beverly Hillbillies
In addition here’s the entire schedule of nonsense events that will be taking place. Now I do plan on attending some of these, especially on the weekends. During the week is going to be extremely difficult since I have other things to do like shuffle papers, eat fancy lunches (I really don’t) go to the movies, and rotate my tires. But weekends, and most evening events I am certainly going to give it the old college try. Look for me. How will you find me? Well, I be the guy with the scowl on his face with his arms folded in that typical “I can’t believe I’m watching this crap” attitude.
It will actually be good to see the boys back on the ice and to see how the lineup starts to formulate. I’ll be making my preseason prediction shortly, not only for the Cats, but for the Eastern and Western Conferences too. I am not however picking the Vancouver Canuckleheads to win the Stanley Cup. That’s just too funny.
If you haven’t purchased your season tickets, or single game tickets yet, don’t worry, I’m sure after my suggestions on Wednesday there should be some more wonderful opportunities for you to pounce on that the boys at Sterling Cooper Draper and Pryce are coming up with. If you have to ask, then, we need to talk!
