The lockout has forced a number of NHL players to play hockey in other countries. For Rick Dipietro, the lockout has forced him to continue not playing hockey in other countries. Dipietro signed with Second Division German team SC Riessersee and is up to his old antics. DiPietro started two games for the team and let in three goals in each. Video from his first game shows exactly what you'd expect; soft goals (the second one is pathetic) and flubbed attempts at playing the puck.  Again, this is the second division of the German league. To put the quality of the competition into perspective, the league's top goalscorer last season was Brady Leisenring, a forward who scored a total of three goals in 44 AHL games over the course of multiple seasons. That was the league's best scorer last season. And he got lit up in back-to-back games by guys who are worse.  It of course gets better, though. those two starts have been it for Rick so far.
