The Rangers used a 9-1 streak in late December and early January to vault to the top of the division standings ahead of Philadelphia, New Jersey and Pittsburgh. Ranking only behind Boston in goals allowed, the Rangers are giving up just over two goals per game while staying in the top ten in the league in scoring. No wonder this team is on a roll. Leading the Rangers offensively are Marian Gaborik, Brad Richards and Ryan Callahan. As for the Devils, this club is on the rise with Patrik Elias leading the team in scoring and team captain Zach Parise, Ilya Kovalchuk and Calder Trophy candidate Adam Henrique just a cou...

The New York Rangers have an ample cushion atop the Eastern Conference, but coach John Tortorella's focus is on turning around a sluggish stretch and not on where his team sits in the standings.
