After acquiring him the Senators learned what we in San Jose already knew, Cheechoo is simply not longer the same player who scored 56 goals back in 05-06As a result he has been placed on waivers, where, if no one claims his laughable $3.5 Million contract he will become an unrestricted free agent. The Sharks, who are cap strapped as it is, should look to their old winger as a very affordable answer on the 3rd or 4th line.
