Chicago has made another deal related to their ‘firesale’ (for lack of a better term). RFA Andrew Ladd has been traded to the Thrashers in exchange for prospect Ivan Vishnevskiy and a second-round pick. Chicago isn't shedding salary, but simply didn't have room to re-sign Ladd, who is arbitation eligible.Ladd should be able to bring a solid physical presence to Atlanta’s lineup – along with Dustin Byfuglien – and will assuredly be re-signed.Vishnevskiy went to Atlanta in the Kari Lehtonen trade back in February, and just adds on to Chicago’s deep pool of prospects. After dealing Kris Versteeg last night and Ladd today, most of the dirty work for ‘Hawks GM Stan Bowman is complete.
