Can the Penguins have all hands on deck? The wildly successful franchise this season can’t seem to get all of its stars healthy at once. “Star” is the operative word here. The Penguins have many. They just reeled in superstar Jarome Iginla over the trading deadline, but lost Sidney Crosby, who was having one of the best seasons of his career, to a broken jaw.
As always, affording a Friday night game at Madison Square Garden is never easy. According to TiqIQ, New York Rangers tickets for this Friday night’s tilt with the Penguins will run fans an average of $312. Normally, the Rangers’ home average is $268, which makes this matchup 16 percent more expensive. Bargains are available, however. Tickets can can still be found on the low-end for $151. Sidney Crosby is unable to speak as he recovers from his broken jaw. He is also on a liquid diet for the foreseeable future.
In about one of the most adorable things you will ever see, Makenzie Roskwitalski, a five-year-old girl and obvious fan of Sidney Crosby, sent the Pittsburgh Penguins superstar a priceless letter to boost the player’s spirits after he had his jaw fractured when he was drilled by a puck in the face during a game last weekend. Along with the fractured jaw, Crosby, who according to...
A 5-year-old girl sent Sidney Crosby an absolutely adorable letter to wish him well after he was hit by a puck in the mouth over the weekend.
The letter states:
I am sorry you got hit by a puck.
I hope the tooth fairy brings you a dollar.
The arrow instructs Crosby to flip to the back of the page where the young girl wrote: From Makenzie. Her mother says her daughter’s...
So the Bruins lost out on Jarome Iginla last week. But fans who are still upset that the former Flames captain chose Pittsburgh over Boston can smile once again, as it appears as if Jaromir Jagr is coming to Boston.
Which player is a better pick up? Jagr heading to the B’s or Iginla to the Pens? Both are future Hockey Hall of Fame wingers and both can put the puck in the net...
In Pittsburgh's first game without star Sidney Crosby, the Penguins were run out of their own gym by the Buffalo Sabres, snapping the win streak.
Before I say what I am about to say, let me preface it by saying that I am being the Devil’s advocate. What I am about to suggest may very well happen, but I could very well be wrong too. Therefore, without further ado,
The Chicago Blackhawks or Pittsburgh Penguins will not win the Stanley Cup.
In a shortened year in which these two teams have absolutely dominated the league...
It simply may be a coincidence that the Pittsburgh Penguins have dropped both games without injured captain Sidney Crosby following their impressive 15-game winning streak.
The New York Rangers, meanwhile, hope it's more than just happenstance that they played so well with their newest additions.
Pittsburgh looks to get back on track while preventing playoff-hopeful New York...
The trade deadline has passed and the shortened NHL season is closing in on its last few weeks. With that in mind, The Instigators gave fans their picks for the respective Eastern and Western Conference champions.
Although many may view Jack Edwards as a “homah,” Jack likes the Pittsburgh Penguins out of the East and the darkhorse Minnesota Wild out of the West. Jack likes...

We're starting a new month, *******. Against the Sabres, of all people. Ew.
And the coaching staff has scratched Joe Vitale without our permission.
OTHER THINGS THAT ARE UNACCEPTABLE: Jaromir Jagr traded to the Bruins. Can't wait to be at that game and **** some people up.
More acceptable things: Brooksie has played 622 games, the most of any Penguins...
All good things eventually come to an end. In the case of the Pittsburgh Penguins, their winning streak failed to reach 16 games as the Buffalo Sabres won at home by a score of 4-1.
Now that their streak is officially a thing of the past, it's time to look back and marvel at what the Penguins were able to accomplish.
Hockey analysts and fans will surely debate which...
