UNIONDALE, NY - NOVEMBER 01: Tomas Plekanec #14 of the Montreal Canadiens celebrates his second goal in the third period against the New York Islanders on November 1, 2008 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The Canadiens defeated the Isles 5-4. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)

With the Boston Bruins on the power play in the first period, and the face-off coming in the Montreal Canadiens end, the onus was on Habs center Tomas Plekanec to win the draw so that his team could gain control and clear the puck out of their zone.

Plekanec won the draw cleanly, however when the puck slid back to goaltender Carey Price, he misplayed it so miserably the end result was an own goal and a 1-0 deficit.

Luckily for Price and the rest of the Canadiens they came back to win the game 2-1, with Plekanec netting the winner, giving him (unofficially) two goals on the night, although the one he scored on his own goaltender probably won’t show up on the score sheet.

Video follows the jump…

I think Price’s body language following his gaffe says more than words ever could.
