Top 10 NHL players most likely to be traded by deadline

Much unlike last season’s trade deadline spectacle when a series of seismic trades were made weeks before the actual deadline date of February 28th only to result in a quite uneventful trade deadline finish, this season has been quite the opposite where no major trades have been conducted in the weeks leading up to this year’s trade deadline which is scheduled for February 27th at 3 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST). A primary reason for this year’s underwhelming activity may be due to having so many teams still in contention for a playoff spot, something commonly referred to as parity.  Except for the Columbus Blue Jackets’ date with destiny, nearly cementing the NHL’s worst overall record and positioning themselves for a chance at the number one overall pick this June’s NHL Entry Draft, all of the other teams still have the opportunity to compete for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
