Frank Seravalli of the Daily News is reporting that the Flyers have traded Pat Maroon and David Laliberte to the Anaheim Ducks for former Flyers defenseman Danny Syvret and another defenseman, 22-year-old Rob Bordson.
Maroon was surprisingly sent home from the AHL Phantoms late last month despite being their best forward and the leading scorer on the dramatically underperforming squad. His ticket out of town was punched right then, with the destination left blank until today. At least the Flyers got some defensive depth in return, because it could have been less given the public divorce.
