Recently, HockeyBuzz.com writer Matthew Barry quoted an unnamed source that the Kings have proposed a trade to Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke that would sent Oscar Moller and a future draft pick to Toronto for Defenseman Tomas Kaberle. He goes on to say he doesn’t think that Moller plus a pick is enough to draw Burke to pull the trigger on the deal and Dean Lombardi never gets his man “because he DOESN’T overpay.”

Oscar Moller, in his 74 GP over the past 2 seasons, has 22 points (11+11=22) and a plus/minus of -9. 32 year old Tomas Kaberle is in the final year of his five-year, $21.25 million contract. Kaberle scored 49 points (7+42=49) and played in all 82 games for the Maple Leafs last season.
