I completed my fourth trade with Wicked Ortega of The Cardboard Don, né My Past Time.......I Love It!!. You can look over the first deal here, the second here, and the third here. Wicked posted a card he picked up, and I immediately knew I would do what it took to make it mine. After a long wait, we finally came to an agreement and the cards made it my way. One card in particular had me more anxious than someone who's really anxious.Numbered an awesome 01/25, this is my first red refractor, and I'm more than thrilled to add this beauty to my Russ Martin Collection. Red refractors are just pure amazing, and I'd love to add one of Matt and one of Clayton before it's all said and done. One day. Some day. Soon? I'm also happy my scanner did a pretty swell job with the red. It pops pretty well. It's an eBay one of one! OH SNAP! I have a surprisingly nice portion of this rainbow done, and I've put exactly zero effort into this rainbow. Sweet.A trio of Paul Kariy...

ST. LOUIS David Backes was searching for an activity to keep busy during the NHL All-Star break, and a decision to combine his passions of flight and animal rescue saved three stray dogs. Last Friday, Backes, the St. Louis Blues' captain, participated in a seven-hundred mile mission to Houston with his wife, Kelly, and his flight instructor, Tim Voithover. Upon landing, they...

Elliott represents Blues at NHL All-Star Game

The first game St. Louis Blues goalie Brian Elliott plays following the All-Star break will likely feel like a walk in the park compared to what he faced Sunday afternoon in the NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa. Elliott, the Blues' lone All-Star representative, was the third goalie to see action for Team Alfredsson. He faced 19 shots in the third period alone and allowed six goals...

Andy McDonald And Alex Steen Vs. The Rest Of The Forwards; or, A Pleasant Conundrum

It's always swell when half of your team's leadership is concussed. "What if?" That's a question that usually has a negative connotation. What if the starting goalie goes down? What if the team's leading scorer gets knocked out of the season? What if the defense gets so decimated that half of the corps is made up of AHL guys? What if, what if what if...

My Most Fervent Andy McDonald Wish

Andy McDonald skated in a regular "yellow" jersey at practice yesterday, instead of a red no-contact jersey. Why does this fill me with dread? Let me say from the start: Andy McDonald has been a very good hockey player. As a Blue, he's produced at nearly a point-per-game pace (189 points in 235 games, or 0.8 ppg--compare to the Blues current "best" offensive...
