Tyler Seguin: Traded from the Boston Bruins to the Dallas Stars. Seguin, Seguin figures to slot in as the Stars first line Center, likely in between Jamie Benn and Ray Whitney. The former second overall pick was never really put in a major offensive role in Boston, but will now finally have his opportunity to re-build his reputation. 2. Bobby Ryan: Traded from the Anaheim Ducks to the Ottawa Senators. Ryan, a four time 30 goal scorer, goes from an insecure position in Anaheim, where he was the the third scoring option on the Ducks to top line, to being the Senators number one offensive option (at forward). With Jason Spezza and Kyle Turris being pass first, play-making centers, Ryan should produce even if Spezza falls to injury once again. 3. Loui Eriksson: Traded from the Dallas Stars to the Boston Bruins (in the Tyler Seguin deal). Eriksson, who seemingly was voted the league’s most underrated player every single year, now has a chance to shine on the East coast. In Boston the Swedish star winger will be front and center in the NHL spotlight. On the surface he truly seems like a better fit in Beantown than Seguin (for the time being). Eriksson is more of a complementary player than a true star. He’s expected to play with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand, but if he slides onto the second line with David Krejci and Jarome Iginla, he should still be in for a career year (personal best 73 points in 2010-11).
