Andrew Shaw was inches away from a hat trick while Patrick Kane and the rest of the gang littered the boxscore with a 5-2 drubbing over the Washington Capitals on Sunday night. Corey Crawford was rarely called upon early in the game as the Blackhawks outshot the Capitals 12-0 in the first 15 minutes of the game until Mike Green finally registered Washington's first shot of the game 16:02 into the 1st period. Another great start translated to the Blackhawks gaining a 2-0 lead heading into the 2nd period. Andrew Shaw kicked things off by tipping a puck past Michal Neuvirth by jumping in the air, perhaps a reputation he is beginning to build for his career. Viktor Stalberg also contributed with a highlight reel goal, chasing down an errant pass and beating Orlov to the puck for a clean break on net -- perhaps one of the most impressive displays of individual skill seen all year. The Capitals found a great break in the middle frame as Keith Aucoin picked off a pass waist level fr...

The Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that ice girls might be my new favorite kind of cheerleader.   I don’t know man.  Just the fact that these girls are such skilled skaters makes me go bonkers. Hell any girl can shake her tail and dance with pom poms.  But skating around the ice with a shovel doing some dirty work has become a new daydream fantasy.   So I’d like...

Should the Chicago Blackhawks start Corey Crawford through the playoffs?

The Chicago Blackhawks are playing “fun hockey.” That’s what Patrick Kane called it at least, after their 5-2 over the Washington Capitals. With one goal and a team-leading five shots, why wouldn’t it be fun? But more importantly, in between all the fun, is still the long-lasting question: Who’s your goalie? After starting on the bench for the sixth straight...
