Move over Vesa Toskala, Roman Turek, Dan Cloutier, Chris Osgood, and Osgood again ... and one more from Ozzie along with others, because former NHLer Hannu Toivonen has joined the undesirable club of goaltenders who've let in shots from way, way too far out. During Wednesday's HockeyAllsvenskan derby match against Rogle, Toivonen -- who signed a 2-year deal with Malmo over the summer -- gave defenseman Jesper Jensen the easiest goal of his career after a shot from his own blue line: The goal put Rogle up 2-0 en route to a 4-2 victory over Malmo. Toivonen, you'll recall, was drafted by the Boston Bruins 29th overall in 2002 and played just 61 games in the NHL. You know who's most unhappy about Toivonen's goal? Tommy Salo. Because every time something like his happens, the replay of Vladimir Kopat's After the game Jensen told reporters (via Google translate), "It was little wonder that it became a goal.
