Breaking news came out just before midnight central time Wednesday night that the Philadelphia Flyers and Shea Weber have agreed to a offer sheet of 14 years, upwards of $100 million, according to Darren Dreger of TSN. The clock is now on David Poile and the Nashville Predators as they have seven days to match the offer sheet made by the Flyers.

Here is the tweet sent by Darren Dreger:

Breaking: Shea Weber agrees to offer sheet with Philadelphia. 14 years, upwards of $100 mil. Preds have 7 days to match. Wow!!

You may ask yourself, what happens if Poile doesn't match this offer? The Flyers would have signed Weber, but the Predators would receive four first round draft picks, which is clearly not worth it.

To continue the potential saga of Philly signing Weber, David Poile should be fired and will be called out by the Predators fan-base. I would be apart of the people calling out Poile to be fired.

On the good side, general manager of the Flyers, Paul Holmgren did the work for Poile in terms of how much money it will take to re-sign Weber. If Poile is to match the offer sheet made by Holmgren, Weber will be a part of the Nashville Predators' franchise for the rest of his career.

Now, David Poile has seven days to match that offer sheet or will face his doom in Nashville. This is a no brainer in matching that offer sheet made by Philly. If you do the numbers, although unfortunately we don't know the official amount of the money, the money Weber would make per season would be less than $8 million. Poile has to match that offer sheet.

The only problem with the potential of matching that offer sheet is that we don't know if Weber wants out of Nashville. Unfortunately, we won't know until sometime these next seven days.

It should be quite interesting in the next 48 hours on what happens with the David Poile, Paul Holmgren and Shea Weber. Check the site often these next few days.

A podcast will be up in a few hours.
