THURSDAY'S STORY LINE: The schedule has been hectic and grueling for the Minnesota Wild. Since Nov. 30, Minnesota has playedeight ofits 11 games on the road. The grueling schedule has seen theWildbattle numerous injuries and taken them on two separate trips out west. Yesterday in Edmonton, Mike Yeo realized what his team needed most --rest.The busy schedule has limited Minnesota's practice time this month, and Yeo said he feels some areas of the team game have slipped because of that. With that in mind, he still knew rest was more important than practice yesterday. "All that stuff is irrelevant if you don't have fresh legs," the coach noted, "if you don't have the ability to go out and compete and battle the way you need to. Even you can see when you are tired your execution will drop a little bit. For us it as an easy choice in order to play the type of game we play we need guys with energy and we felt that was necessary (Wednesday." The players appreciate their coach realizing they needed a break."I think it was great of him to realize that," said Brad Staubitz. "We work hard, we play hard out there and he knows that. I think a day off will really help us."The time away from the rink helped players clear their minds and not only rest physically, but mentally."It's nice when you can get away from the rink," noted defenseman Jared Spurgeon. "We have played a lot of games in the last couple months. We haven't had time to get away from the rink, sort of get your mind away and relax a bit." Staubitz said the day off helped "rejuvenate" the players and everyone was happy to be back on the ice this morning. "It helped us regroup and get away for the day. I think everyone felt good this morning -- guys were happy to be back," said Nick Johnson.HE SAID IT: "I think, if anything, our guys are putting a lot of pressure on themselves as it is right now. I just want us to come into this game tonight just really focused on playing a very good game. Playing our game really well. Let's make sure we are ready to compete from the drop of the puck. Let's make sure we are paying attention to detail on our game, let's make sure we are executing the right way. When you do that when you have 20 guys on board then you are giving yourself the best chance to win and that is what we are looking for." -- Yeo on tonight's game
