In the midst of their three-week Olympic break, the Minnesota Wild announced three personnel moves Wednesday involving their American Hockey League affiliate. Minnesota recalled defenseman Jonathon Blum and forward Jake Dowell from the Iowa Wild. The club also said goalie John Curry had been assigned to Iowa on Tuesday. Blum (6-foot-1, 188 pounds), who averaged 12:13 in ice time in four games with Minnesota earlier this season, is making his second appearance with the team. He's tallied 22 points and 20 penalty minutes in 95 career NHL games with Nashville and Minnesota. This season, the 25-year-old Blum is Iowa's second-leading scorer, with 25 points in 42 games, and leads the club in power-play goals with six. Dowell (6-foot, 200 pounds) skated in two games for Minnesota last year but is making his first appearance for the team this season. In 156 career NHL games, the 28-year-old has recorded 33 points and 133 penalty minutes with Chicago, Dallas and Minnesota. Dowell has 14 points and 32 penalty minutes in 40 games with Iowa this season. Signed to a two-way NHL contract on Monday, Curry (5-foot-11, 185 pounds) has posted a 6-3-2 record with a 1.95 goals against average and .939 save percentage in 12 games with Iowa this year. The 29-year-old goalie from Shorewood, Minn., also had a 10-2-0 record, 2.66 GAA and .917 SV% in 13 games with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL this season. Minnesota general manager Chuck Fletcher announced the moves on Wednesday. The Wild return from their midseason break on Feb. 27 against the Edmonton Oilers.
