THURSDAY'S STORY LINE: Play our game, stick to our systems. Those are words spoken in the Minnesota Wild locker room when discussing what they need to do to slow down the high-powered Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. Vancouver is sixth in the NHL with 3.00 goals per game. The Canucks are led by the always-dangerous Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who are tied for sixth in the NHL with 14 points each. "Sticking to our systems and worrying about ourselves out there, our systems have shown that they work," Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon said. Those systems, along with outstanding goaltending by Josh Harding, held the Detroit Red Wings to one goal over that past two games. Rookie defenseman Nate Prosser believes if the Wild stick to the same plan they should be successful Thursday night at shutting down the Canucks and their top offensive weapons. "We just have to do the same things we have been doing the past few games," he said. "That was a high-powered Detroit team. We have to be ready to compete with them just like we did with Detroit. Our battle level was so high with blocking shots, and if we continue to do that we can shut down them, too." HE SAID IT: "We might not beat Washington in the scoring race this year, but I do believe we have the guys to put the puck in the net. There are a lot of these games where we got 19 to 20 scoring chances and we ended up with one goal at the end of the night. I know that law of averages that will turn around at some point." -- Yeo on the Wild offense
