I TOLD you I loved this photo set. Take a look at this picture of Pekka Rinne making a save, as Ryan Suter and David Backes jostle in front of the net. One girl is stunned by the proceedings:But... is that a "stunned" look? Oh no. That's more "shocked". Like "David Backes did what to Ryan Suter's mama?!"I encourage photoshops and other captions for this picture going foward. I haven't even touched on the portly security guard in the picture.

One more thing: Rinne’s franchise-record streak ends

As the old saying goes, all good things come to an end. Before last night’s 4-3 shootout defeat at the hands of Vancouver Canucks, Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne had not lost a game since Jan. 5 – over a month ago. Since that decisive loss to Dallas, Rinne won all 11 of his starts and put the team on his back. In the process he set a franchise record for most consecutive wins...

Predators Becoming Less Likely To Deal Ryan Suter?

The trade deadline is getting closer and closer by the day, meaning trade rumors are picking up. Since the season began, one of the more intriguing names out on the market has been Nashville’s star defenseman Ryan Suter. Suter, next to Shea Weber makes up, arguably, the best defensive pairing in the National Hockey League. Suter has turned in another impressive year, with 30...

Rinne’s winning streak snapped, Preds lose in shootout…

Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has been pulled from a game just four times this season. Half of them against the Vancouver Canucks. Since being chased by Vancouver on December 1, Rinne was an unimaginable 20-2-1. Better make that 20-3-1. In front of 16,232 inside Bridgestone Arena, Rinne’s 11-game win streak came to an end as the Preds lost in the shootout, 4-3...

Poile: “we want to commit” but Suter “is enjoying the dating process”

If you missed Nashville Predators General Manager David Poile on NHL Live yesterday, you missed some things. Poile talks about the Ryan Suter negotiations, how the Preds are the youngest team in the league, Head Coach Barry Trotz’s longevity and how Nashville is a buyer at the trade deadline on February 27. Thanks to NHL.com and hosts Deb Placey and Ken Daneyko, here’...

Pekka a Rinne-stone Cowboy in Nashville

Those not convinced that the Nashville Predators are in it to win long term need to look no further than the massive contract that general manager David Poile dished out to goaltender Pekka Rinne back in November.

Despite shootout loss to Canucks, Nashville’s top line continues to produce

Pekka Rinne’s incredible 11-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night when the Nashville Predators lost to the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in a shootout in front of 16, 232 fans at Bridgestone Arena. The Predators fell behind in the middle of the first period when Ryan Kesler opened scoring 11:42 into the game with a power play goal. Brandon Yip was in the penalty box...

Canucks-Predators Preview

Pekka Rinne's solid play has been a major reason for the Nashville Predators' recent surge. The Vancouver Canucks seem to have his number, though. Rinne and the Predators seek a seventh win in their last eight games Tuesday night when they host the Canucks, who have won four straight meetings in Nashville and have chased the star goaltender twice this season. The Predators...

Vancouver Canucks (32-15-5) at Nashville Predators (32-17-4), 8 p.m. (ET)

There may not be a more confident goaltender in the league right now than Nashville's Pekka Rinne. Vancouver should have plenty of positive feelings heading into Tuesday night after the way it won its last game.

Dear Blues Front Office: Please Don’t Mortgage the Future

To begin, yes I realize the Blues have some issues on the offensive end. Even if those issues are frustratingly named Pekka Rinne, Nikolai Khabibulin, Josh Harding and Kari Lehtonen. If you’re a Blues fan you know the Note out-shoots virtually every opponent but has had their fair share of issues putting the puck in the back of the net. And yes they need some help with a scoring...

Shootout Goalies Who Are Hard To Beat

via Sports Illustrated, Who is the toughest goalie to beat in a shootout? Henrik Lundqvist, Rangers 28% Pekka Rinne, Predators 28% Marc-Andre Fleury, Devils 8% Ryan Miller, Sabres 7% Tim Thomas, Bruins 5% FAST FACTS Lundqvist, who leads the NHL in save percentage (.939) won the All-Star Skills Competition, stopping six of seven shootout attempts…. The pick of a whopping...

Who is this woman, and why is she photographed so much?

I was browsing through some pictures, and I have to say, my favorite game set in a while came from the Predators-Blues game on Saturday. This might be a two post project, covering all the pictures I liked. First step though, trying to figure out why this woman appeared in 10 pictures from the game set. I have 7 examples below, though there were three more in which she was only shown...

Vancouver Returns to Music City With Much On the Line

Tonight's game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Nashville Predators is one that Predator fans have had marked on their calendar since the schedule was released last summer.
