Found February 22, 2013 on Diehardsport:
Vancouver Canucks forward Zack Kassian is listed as 6’3″ 205, while Dallas Stars rookie forward Antoine Roussel is listed as 5’11″ 170.  Roussel skated at Kassian full-speed and had the advantage early on, even knocking Kassian down, but once Kassian got back up he was pissed off and he went to work, just obliterating Roussel.  I give Roussel some credit for going after the much bigger Kassian, but it’s easy to go full-speed at a player with a visor on, especially when the other player doesn’t have one.  It was only Roussel’s second NHL regular season fight, while it was Kassian’s sixth. NHL Fights: Zack Kassian vs Antoine Roussel Who Is Hiding Behind A Visor Helmet

Dallas Stars rookie Antoine Roussel can’t be serious rushing Vancouver’s Zack Kassian to instigate a brawl while wearing a visor. And you don’t even man up and throw off the helmet during the fight? So it’s fair for you to throw bombs at a guy whose face is exposed while your nose is hiding behind a wall? Give credit to mountain man Kassian for continuing to throw bombs...

Canucks’ Jannik Hansen concerned about stain on his record

Orca logo, 1997–2007. (Photo credit: Wikipedia) Cry me a river, don't do the crime, if you don't want to do the time. This is why people hate/despise the Vancouver Canucks. You're responsible for your actions on the ice. Brad Ziemer, Vancouver Sun --- Through 129 AHL and 286 NHL games, the Vancouver Canucks winger liked to think he had earned a reputation as...

Dry spell of little concern to Stars' Eriksson

FRISCO, Texas -- Loui Eriksson definitely knows it goes with the territory. As a goal scorer, sometimes it seems as if the opposing net is so wide open one could drive a Mack truck through the crease while there are other times where nothing a goal scorer does seems to result in the biscuit hitting the back of the basket. Well, the veteran Stars forward is definitely experiencing...

Preds blanked by Canucks in close loss

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Roberto Luongo was sharp when the Vancouver Canucks needed it the most. Luongo made 23 saves for the shutout and Dale Weise broke a scoreless tie at 9:14 of the third period and the Vancouver Canucks defeated Nashville 1-0 Friday. The Canucks have won consecutive games on their four-game road trip after losing three straight. Nashville has lost three of...

Canucks vs. Chicago Blackhawks: Unlikely earnings of a single point

Hansassian I’m not even quite sure what I watched when the Canucks took on the Hawks the other night. The Blackhawks came as advertised and dominated the game to an embarrassing degree. Cory Schneider‘s best game of his career kept the game close but this was a lopsided game. The ‘Hawks were pushing the puck through the neutral zone with ease and creating odd man rushes every...

Stars hope to salvage a win against Sharks

DALLAS-- A week ago Friday, all was well with the Dallas Stars. The club was fresh off a come-from-behind win at Vancouver where they trailed 3-1 midway through the second period before storming back for three unanswered to leave Rogers Center with a huge 4-3 win, their second in a three-game trip through Western Canada. Glen Gulutzan's club headed back to the Lone Star State...

Benn has goal, assist in Stars' win over Sharks

DALLAS (AP) -- Jamie Benn was all over the score sheet for the Dallas Stars. Benn had a goal, and assist and a rare fight that sparked the Stars to a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night. Dallas even got a pair of goals from its struggling power play. Jaromir Jagr and Michael Ryder also scored for the Stars, and Cristopher Nilstorp was outstanding in making 31 saves...

Missed opportunities in first period burn Preds against Canucks

The Nashville Predators looked like they had the Vancouver Canucks on the ropes during the first period on Friday night at Bridgestone Arena. Vancouver was in the back half of(More here)…

Luongo, Canucks shutout Preds

(Photo courtesy of Frederick Breedon/Getty Images) Dale Weise scored the lone goal to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 1-0 win against the Nashville Predators on the road. For Vancouver, they were able to win both of their games in their back-to-back in Dallas and in the Music City. Head coach Alain Vigneault has to be happy about getting four points in two nights. ...

Missed opportunities spell doom as Predators are shut out by Vancouver

Photo Credit: AP Photo/Mike Strasinge It’s never a good sign when you out-shoot an opponent 13-3 in the first period and nothing gets past their goaltender. It’s an even worse sign when the balance begins to tip back in the favor of the opposing team as the game stretches along. While the Predators battled to capitalize on one of their many chances throughout the game, the Canucks...
