Near the 12:00 minute mark of the first period, Senators forward Mika Zibanejad chipped the puck past Panthers defenceman Erik Gudbranson and then both players went into the right-side corner to battle for the loose puck.
Zibanejad may have beaten Gudbranson to the puck, but Gudbranson finished his check on Zibanejad, delivering a forearm/elbow high that caused Zibanejad's head to hit the glass.
