McDonald's future remains unclear
Colin McDonald did not know for sure that the Penguins would be sending him back to Wilkes-Barre, and he certainly did not know when it might happen. But he was all too aware that guys in his position, with one skate planted firmly in the American Hockey League, can have their status change at any time. Occasionally, that means they land a spot in the parent club's lineup.

#19 Prospect: Colin McDonald
Winter 2009: #18Summer 2010: NRWinter 2010: #19There's not one chance in hell 10 people will agree with me, but I believe Colin McDonald is the 19th best prospect in the system at this time. He's behind all of the true quality prospects who've remained healthy, he's barely ahead of a couple of injury worries with high end potential, and he's certainly swayed...

Oklahoma City Signs Colin McDonald
Colin McDonald's new contract is an AHL level deal. His AHL resume (and cup of coffee in the show) weren't enough to warrant a two-way deal and we should assume no other NHL team was offering anything more attractive. In a very real way, the Oilers have said goodbye to the 2003 entry draft. The architect of that draft (Kevin Prendergast) has left the building and his three...

Training Camp Hopeful #5: Colin McDonald
That's Colin McDonald getting himself into a really good position to make a play during a pre-season game. McDonald was part of the fateful 2003 entry draft and has not developed as hoped in the days since.McDonald has some nice things (size, a plus shot) and some things that hold him back (he doesn't really use his size, not enough base hits in that bat of his) and he'...

Oilers sign McDonald
This is Colin McDonald in the faceoff circle for the Springfield Falcons. According to capgeek (or, the Bible as it is quickly becoming known) the Edmonton Oilers have signed McDonald to a 1-year, $550,000 contract. This actually represents a cut in pay on his entry level deal ($662,500) but he never saw the light of day anyway during that contract.I think this may be a huge year...
