Dan Hinote has been hired on as one of the assistant coaches for the Blue Jackets.  I think it is a great addition as Hinote was a hardworking player and I expect no different from him as coach.  He is not far removed from the game as he just finished his playing career last season in Sweden.  More to come…

Jackets hire Hinote as assistant coach (AP)

Former NHL veteran Dan Hinote (HIGH'-note) has been hired as an assistant coach by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The club announced the hiring on Thursday. Hinote helped the Colorado Avalanche win the 2001 Stanley Cup. Hinote will be the second member of new coach Scott Arniel's coaching staff, joining Brad Berry.
