So what does it mean? Early consensus is, the Oilers did not get enough return for him. I don't feel that way - A 2nd rounder for a $3mil+ per season defensive headache? I like the deal very much. Obviously the Oilers are looking at a complete rebuild.

The Edmonton Oilers bolstered their defense by re-signing Russian defenseman Denis Grebeshkov to a one-year contract on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Grebeshkov had seven goals, 32 assists and 38 penalty minutes in 72 NHL games last season - all career highs.

A few weeks ago there was a strong rumor about the Oilers signing Denis Grebeshkov. It was all over the highway, including some details (I heard 3 years at a little over 3M per) on the contract. Times has passed, and other NHLers are signing contracts. Did I miss it? Have the Oilers signed Denis Grebeshkov?
