If Only They Had Goaltending
Every season I pick a team that could be a much better Stanley Cup contender if they added a top goalie. My choice last year was the Tampa Bay Lightning. It proved to be a pretty good selection as they added Dwayne Roloson in a trade and then went to the semi-finals in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Tampa has not maintained that level of play as Roloson has struggled this season....

Jan Levine: Game 52: NYR-TB, Time to Get Back on Track
Coming off a disheartening and controversial loss to the Devils and on the short end of a pair of shutouts the past three games, THE Rangers face the Lightning at MSG. Tampa Bay has struggled in net much of the year, alternating between Dwayne Roloson and Mathieu Garon, neither of whom have been able to hold on to the job full-time. The main hope coming into the game is that by facing...

Coyotes' skid continues with loss to Lightning
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- This was a game Dwayne Roloson needed.
The goalie who carried the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Eastern Conference finals last year hadn't won since Nov. 17 against Pittsburgh.
Roloson made 33 saves in Tampa Bay's 4-3 victory over Phoenix on Saturday night to improve to 7-10-2.
"The win is nice, but it's more important for the team that we won," he said. ...

Roloson stymies Pens, Bolts win
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Dwayne Roloson stymied the Pittsburgh Penguins again.
Roloson made 33 saves, Vincent Lecavalier had two goals and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Penguins 4-1 on Thursday night.
"There's no way you can beat that team if the goaltender is not at his best," Tampa Bay coach Guy Boucher said. "They've got everything, basically. We've got to play almost perfect defensively...

Is time catching up on Tampa Bay Lightning G Dwayne Roloson?
Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Dwayne Roloson came up on the better half of shot numbers in the 7-4 loss to the Florida Panthers on Monday.
Regardless, the veteran who turned 42 last week, looked completely out of place in just about every goal he allowed, and they most were tamable.
Five-hole, opposite side, they all got by him.
Tampa Bay general manager Steve Yzerman was confident...

Kathryn Tappen: Dwayne Roloson Will Make Life Difficult for Game 7 of 'Jekyll and Hyde' Series
It might be easier to predict the weather in New England for the next two weeks than it would be to try to predict the outcome of Game 7 between the Bruins and Lightning. The series has gone back and forth every which way, and it has NESN's Kathryn Tappen feeling as though anything can happen in Game 7. "My theory is 50-50," she said Friday on The Dennis and Callahan...

Dwayne Roloson Likely to Start for Tampa Bay, But Plenty of Intrigue Left in Lightning Goalie Situation
BOSTON -- All signs point to Dwayne Roloson starting in goal once again for the Lightning in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final Monday night at TD Garden, but it wouldn't be the first time an NHL club has laid down some false tracks in the postseason. Roloson has started every playoff game for Tampa Bay this spring, and was the first goalie off the ice at the Lightning'...
