Players not down with Winnipeg?
Illegal Curve PictureSo are the Winnipeg Jets fans really worried what some mediocre third line player at twilight of their hockey career a la Eric Belanger has to say about the city of Winnipeg? I hardly think so, the fact remains is that the NHL is drawing poorly in the desert and I can’t fore see crowds this putrid in Winnipeg. What do you think?

Eric Belanger: A ‘Thank You’ and Welcome
In all honesty I was a little shocked when I heard the news about Eric Belanger signing with the Coyotes. Why you may ask – because it was not that long ago I was living out in Washington D.C. and I can still remember the excitement when the rumor leaked that he was going to resign with the Capitals.
The hockey fan’s out in DC loved him – he gave his blood, sweat, and teeth...

Eric Belanger Signs with the Capitals
NHLHS Washington Capitals correspondent Jodie Smola discusses the reports that Eric Belanger will indeed return to the Washington Capitals for the 2010-11 season.
According to reports, Eric Belanger will be back in red for one more season.
Belanger brings with him the 2009-2010 9th best face-off win percentage in the NHL. As any hockey fan knows, face-off wins can determine the...

Eric Belanger Resigns With Washington
The Capitals and Eric Belanger have agreed to a one year, 1.85 million dollar contract, though not necessarily locking him in for the 2010-11 season. The Globe and Mail reports that there are rumors that Washington may be looking to trade Belanger, possibly for a defenseman. Other rumors suggest that Tomas Fleishmann might be involved in the deal as well.
Regardless, the Caps have...

Washington Capital Eric Belanger practices personal dentistry on the player’s bench
If you have a weak stomach you may not want to watch this. The irony is that these guys were former teammates with the Wild. Marc-Andre Bergeron knocks Belanger's tooth loose with a blatant high stick, no call on the play, then Belanger removes his tooth. Hockey players are tough. I would be surprised if he missed a shift or two.

Eric Belanger: Who Needs a Dentist?
Eric Belanger got my attention. The Washington Capital took a high stick from Marc-Andre Bergeron during the NHL Playoff series. Belanger saved himself some serious cash when he said screw the new Obama Health Care plan by deciding the tooth was no longer needed. It was rather impressive. Check it out.

The NHL: Where Players Pull Out Their Own Teeth
Recently, I read an article about a poll that said that almost 50% of people were scared to visit the dentist with a dental problem. I'm not sure if Washington Capital Eric Belanger was or not but he decided to take his own dental health into his own hands. In game five of their playoff series with the Montreal Candiens, Belanger took a high-stick to the face from Montreal's Marc...

Eric Belanger eschews appearance, reinforces hockey player stereotypes
Washington Capitals’ forward Eric Belanger took a high stick straight to the kisser on Friday night during his team’s 6-3 win against the Montreal Canadiens. It’s a motivational moment where we can all realize that we needn’t dress up and put gel in our hair when hitting the town during a hot weekend night. Instead, we should roll up our sleeves and attempt...

Eric Belanger is a Rabid Anti-Dentite
Sometimes in sports cliches aren’t all that cliche. You know the one about hockey players being tough as nails–yeah, that’s no cliche, that’s the truth.
Check out Eric Belanger of the Caps as he pulls his own tooth out, his fixtures loosened courtesy of Canadians defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron’s high stick.
Ugh…yeah, should’ve warned you...

The Washington Capitals have acquired center Eric Belanger from the Minnesota Wild for a 2nd round pick. Belanger, 32, has 13 goals and 22 assists in 60 games in Minnesota this season.
