Blues' Brewer makes surprise return to lineup

Blues' Brewer has surgery, unlikely for opener
St. Louis Blues defenseman Eric Brewer has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in what the team termed a minor setback for a player rehabbing from two back operations.
Brewer, the team captain, played only 28 games last season before undergoing surgery in December to repair a herniated disc in his back. He had a second back operation in April.
