The New Jersey Devils have two seasoned goaltenders on their roster this season. One, 38-year-old Johan Hedberg, has been a backup most of his NHL career. The other, 39-year-old Martin Brodeur, is a lock for the Hall of Fame.
But with the two seeing action in 21 and 29 of the team's 46 games, respectively, the surprising Hedberg is performing best in Newark this year.

Video: Johan "Moose" Hedberg Split Save
In a season to forget for the New Jersey Devils Johan Hedberg gave the fans something to hold on to tonight with this beautiful split save to rob Andreas Nodl of a sure goal. This one is right up there with the best saves of the season.
Sadly for Hedberg following this play was another blooper real goal against off the boards, but that should not take away from the beauty of this one.
