Marco Sturm Returns to Boston Having Finally Found a Home with Panthers after Year of Travels and Trials
BOSTON -- Marco Sturm's many travels have finally brought him back to a familiar place, albeit in a strange new role. The former Bruins forward was back in Boston on Thursday for the first time since being traded to Los Angeles last Dec. 11, returning to play against the Bruins for the first time since that deal. He's not with the Kings anymore though. Sturm is actually with...

Marco Sturm Makes Fitting In With New Team Look Easy
He may have had the quietest boxscore debut of the three newest Capitals, but before two weeks had passed, veteran Marco Sturm had already received an on-air compliment from one team leader: Brooks Laich.
“Marco was the first one here, and it seemed the first day, I told Brads [Matt Bradley] – Brads had played with him — and I said, “Geez, it seems like he’s been...

Marco Sturm Claimed
So long Sturm, it was nice knowing you. Well… not so much nice as fine. It was fine knowing you. I harbor no animosity toward Sturm, nor the circumstances in which he came to town. To be sure I was hopeful that his appearance would help spark our offense out of the dumps, and that did not happen. It was a disappointing time in Los Angeles for Sturm, and frankly I think even...

So Much For Sturm
The Los Angeles Kings acquired Marco Sturm in December with the hope that he would be able to provide the offensive spark that seemed to be missing from the Kings lineup. Unfortunately, after the Kings only managed to score more than 2 goals in 1 of their last 5 games, Sturm has clearly not lived up to that expectation. The sole silver lining appears to be that he was acquired for...

Marco Sturm Passes Physical, Trade to Kings Becomes Official
Finally, the Marco Sturm trade is completed.
The former Bruins forward passed his physical, and is now on his way from Boston to Los Angeles.
The Kings, who acquired Sturm for "future considerations," put Sturm through a set of multiple tests to ensure that both of his surgically repaired knees were alright.
"It feels great,'' Sturm told the Kings' website...

Bruins & Kings Close on Sturm Trade.
Over a week after a trade which would've shipped Boston Bruins forward Marco Sturm to the Los Angeles Kings fell through comes news the two sides are close to finalizing the deal.
A reliable source close to the Sturm camp informed me this morning the deal was nearly complete on the condition he passes a medical exam with the Kings' team doctors.
Sturm is returning from...

Sturm, Healing Kings, and More
On Sturm…
Last week we almost saw the Kings make a swap with the Bruins for Marco Sturm. The deal was nixed for vague reasons, but the assumption is that Sturm would not be ready nearly as soon as the Kings expected. Exactly what the sticking point was will likely remain a mystery. Since the trade didn’t go through, the Kings are afforded an unlikely look at the...

Kings Trade For Marco Sturm
The Los Angeles Kings have added former Boston Bruin Marco Sturm to their roster today. I think this is a brilliant move. First of all, the Kings gave up effectively nothing. A conditional draft pick. Chances are good that the pick won’t be terribly high, but even if it is, it’s a low-risk, high reward kind of move. Sturm was available because the Bruins needed to dump...
