The New York Islanders have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with center Marty Reasoner.
The New York native joined the Islanders on Friday after posting four goals and 13 assists last season with the Florida Panthers. He will earn a total of $2.7 million.

Marty Reasoner dealt to the Panthers
In yet another salary dumping move the Chicago BlackHawks have dealt Marty Reasoner to the Florida Panthers for Jeff Taffe. This move will approximately save the Hawks around 600k per year.
Marty has been known for being a decent face off guy and more of a 4th line specialist. Marty makes 1.15 mill/year and I can think about 100 guys that can do his job for half that price.

Reasoner re-signs with Thrashers
Forward Marty Reasoner, who set a career high with 14 goals for Atlanta last season, has re-signed with the Thrashers.
