A lot of people out there seem to think I was ripping on poor Matt Hunwick for his play last night. Not the case. As I thought I made clear, the criticism had more to do with playing him out of place, at forward. Not his fault there.
I also said, in the blog, that I was hoping to have a question answered as to why the Avs couldn’t/didn’t get a forward in the lineup last night...

Avalanche sign O'Byrne, Hunwick
The Colorado Avalanche have come to terms with defensemen Ryan O'Byrne and Matt Hunwick.
O'Byrne agreed to a two-year deal, while Hunwick signed a one-year pact on Thursday.
O'Byrne was acquired from Montreal in November and had a career-best 10 assists in 64 games with Colorado.

Bruins avoid arbitration, sign Hunwick
The Boston Bruins avoided their salary arbitration hearing with defenseman Matt Hunwick by inking him to a two-year deal yesterday afternoon. Hunwick was a restricted free agent and elected to go to arbitration which was scheduled for Friday.

Sioux7 and I watched this game yesterday and this was supposed to be former Michigan star and Boston Bruins rookie Matt Hunwick's first NHL fight. One punch hay maker. I guess you can expect a fight when you're team is being run out of the building.
