Thrashers ink Dawes, re-sign Bergfors (AP)
The Thrashers have signed unrestricted free agent forward Nigel Dawes, who had 32 points for the Calgary Flames last season. The 25-year-old left winger scored 14 goals and added 18 assists in 66 games with the Flames. The Thrashers also on Monday re-signed forward Niclas Bergfors, who had a combined 44 points with Atlanta and New Jersey last season.
