Devils' Elias fined $2K for boarding
New Jersey Devils forward Patrik Elias has been fined $2,500, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for boarding Montreal Canadiens forward Mike Blunden during a 5-3 win on Thursday.
The incident occurred at 18:54 of the first period. A minor penalty for boarding was assessed on the play.
The fine money will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund...

Devils' Elias fined $2,500 for hit on Canadiens' Blunden
New Jersey Devils veteran left wing Patrik Elias has been fined $2,500 for his boarding penalty on Montreal Canadiens forward Mike Blunden.
Elias sent Blunden into the board with 1:06 remaining in the first period of Thursday's game. A minor boarding penalty was assessed to Elias.
The 35-year-old Elias has collected 18 goals, 30 assists and 16 penalty minutes this season.

Report: Devils LW Elias to return vs. Capitals
New Jersey Devils left wing Patrik Elias is expected to return to the ice for Friday's game against the Washington Capitals.
Elias sat out Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the New York Rangers with the flu.

Elias sets Devils' career scoring mark
Patrik Elias scored a pair of goals to set the New Jersey Devils franchise record in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
Elias now has 348 goals with the Devils, besting John MacLean's mark of 347.
Elias, who has spent his entire 16-year career with the Devils, has 13 goals on the season.
The Devils have won four straight games.
