After three straight games of cheap shots, Raffi Torres is finally suspended
Gee someone finally woke Shanny up from his holiday coma:
Good explanation from Puck Daddy's Harrison Mooney on this:
Frankly, this seemed, to me, to be the friendliest of his three bad hits, but he was on borrowed time anyway. He can't possibly react too strongly to this decision -- unless that reaction involves changing his game.
Mind you, Torres...

The NHL made the announcement Monday, saying Torres will forfeit $42,682.93. He hit Prosser from behind during the first period of Phoenix's 4-2 victory Saturday night, though no penalty was called on the play.

The hit came at 18:22 of the second period in Colorado's 3-2 over the Coyotes on Thursday night. Torres lowered his shoulder and appeared to hit Hejda on the side of the head.

Raffi Torres Deserves Suspension for Latest Cheap Shot, Just Don't Expect Him to Learn From It
Adam McQuaid put a beating on Raffi Torres, but not even the powerful right hand of the Bruins defenseman could beat any sense into the reckless Phoenix forward. On Wednesday, Torres delivered a dirty hit to the head of Bruins blueliner Andrew Ference late in the first period of Boston's 2-1 overtime win. Torres was given an elbowing minor on the play, but his real punishment...

Bruins’ Adam McQuaid Bloodies Raffi Torres’ Eye During Fight (Video)
Raffi Torres likes to think he’s one of the NHL’s tough guys. He loves getting into fights and taking runs at players — some of which are extremely dirty like this one. The reason the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup last season and are one of the best teams in the league this year is their toughness. If you’re going to cheap shot one of the Bruins players...

Should Raffi Torres Be Disciplined for His High Hit on Andrew Ference?
Sure, Adam McQuaid made Coyotes forward Raffi Torres pay for his actions by dismantling his face on Wednesday night, but should Brendan Shanahan and the NHL step in and discipline Torres for his high hit on Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference? Judging by photo and video evidence, it's clear Torres gives up on his pursuit of the puck to attack the head of Ference with his shoulder...

Adam McQuaid works Raffi Torres like a clown
This is the proper response for someone that hits one of your fellow players in the head, this is called sticking up for your fellow players, instead of waiting for the refs to make the call. Nothing pleases me more than watching Adam McQuaid work Raffi Torres like a punching bag.
Let's not kid ourselves, Raffi Torres is notorious for racing all over the ice, taking unneeded...

Adam McQuaid's Beatdown of Raffi Torres Enjoyable on Multiple Levels For Bruins Fans
When Raffi Torres threw an elbow at Andrew Ference during Wednesday's Bruins-Coyotes game, Adam McQuaid did not take too kindly to it. So he responded by bloodying up Torres, much to the delight of Bruins fans. NESN Nation's Dan Duquette asked our Twitter followers to finish the sentence, "The best part of the McQuaid-Torres fight was _____." See what fans had to...

Adam McQuaid fights angry, opens Torres
Adam McQuaid doesn't fight all too often but when he does it's usually a spectacle. Rarely do you see a player fight with such hate as McQuaid does on a consistent basis. Most players fight to defend their teammate or swing momentum but McQuaid always gives the impression that he fights to knock your head off it's block. It's gotten to the point where I half-think...

Phoenix Coyotes Raffi Torres Dresses as Jay Z for Halloween, BlackFace Included
I have been very consistent is saying that regardless of intent, any type of “blackface” is in poor taste.
I don’t know Raffi Torres, but from my understanding he is a huge Jay Z fan and I don’t think he meant anything malicious by it. But if you are going to do something like this and you are a professional athlete you might not want to photographed.
You are always going...
