Ottawa Senators defenseman Sergei Gonchar was a late scratch from Saturday's game against the Buffalo Sabres after being hit by a puck during warmups. The team said Gonchar was held out as a precaution. Brian Lee took Gonchar's spot in the lineup. The 17-year veteran has two goals and 19 assists this season. Senators D Gonchar questionable vs. Canucks

Ottawa Senators defenseman Sergei Gonchar is listed as questionable against the Vancouver Canucks Saturday. Gonchar left Thursday’s game against the New Jersey Devils with a upper-body injury. The Senators had the day off Friday and the team did not give any updates on Gonchar’s status. Gonchar has two goals and 17 assists for Ottawa this season.
