TODD WHITE RUMORS & GOSSIP

Todd White Assigned to AHL

Steve Zipay is reporting via twitter that forward Todd White has been assigned to the Connecticut Whale of the AHL after clearing waivers earlier today. White has only played in 18 games with the Rangers this season, and in that time recorded just a goal and an assist. His ice time was steadily decreasing each game he played, as did his value to the club, so this was bound to happen...

Todd White Sent To Connecticut

In relatively unsurprising news, the Rangers have sent Todd White to the AHL this afternoon. White was waived yesterday, the third time he was waived this season, and cleared today at noon. In 18 games this season, White has seen extremely limited ice time, notching a goal and an assist with a -2 rating. White was acquired in the offseason from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange...

Todd White Finally Been Sent To Connecticut Whale

After clearing waivers again today the New York Rangers have finally sent Todd White down to the Connecticut Whale of the AHL.  The move to send White down comes approximately three months later than it should have sending him down.  White, 35, was acquired over the summer from the Atlanta Thrashers in a deal that sent Donald Brashear and Patrick Rissmiller out of New York.  In...

Rangers Waive Todd White (again)

The Rangers waived Todd White yet again this afternoon making his grand waiver wire total to three times in three months. This is likely a precursor to Chris Drury or Vinny Prospal returning. All it does is give the NYR the ability to clear a roster spot for one of those guys.White's 30 day eligibility to be sent down expired. Let's hope for an early christmas present he's claimed...

Final Lineup vs Boston: Boogaard In: White Out; Rozsival Updated Again

As I speculated about in the pregame Derek Boogaard is officially back in vs the Bruins tonight, while Todd White will get his seat in the press box back during the game. Rest of the lineup same as it was against the pens on Monday. Again it is Heritage Night and one of the guys in the picture will be showing off the awesome alternate jersey's. Lines: Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan...

Fedotenko In, Callahan Out Tonight (Update: White Waived)

As per Andrew Gross, Ryan Callahan will be out tonight, likely dealing with the effects of the boarding he took from Kimmo Timmonen last night. Both players were racing for the puck in the corner, and Timmonen let Callahan skate by, and gave him a little “help” in going head first into the boards. Naturally, there was no penalty call there. Ruslan Fedotenko will be in tonight...

White and Kennedy on Waivers. Trade Looming?

The Rangers are in the midst of more change. Todd White and Tim Kennedy have today somewhat surprisingly been placed on waivers on a day which has seen a lot of teams place players on waivers. Several sources including beat writers Larry Brooks and Andrew Gross are speculating the roster moves could be a pre-curser to a trade for a defenceman and the usual rumours of Sheldon Souray...

What will Todd White bring to the Rangers?

Last week Glen Sather acquired veteran center Todd White from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for Donald Brashear, and Patrick Rissmiller. In my opinion this was a solid trade by Glen Sather. Sather got rid of two unneeded players, and in return got a veteran forward who has a bit of a scoring touch. Two seasons ago Todd White scored a total of 73 points (22 goals, and 51 assists...

Todd White Traded to the New York Rangers

NHLHS Atlanta Thrashers Correspondent Laura Astorian discusses the trade between the Thrashers and New York Rangers that sent Todd White packing. The Thrashers pulled of something yesterday that most people thought impossible - they traded Todd White. A buyout was not an option, because White was on the IR at the end of the season with a separated shoulder (he would undergo surgery...

White + Frolov = parade?

Uh, no. Hi kids. First of all, I didn’t get a chance to say Hi yesterday. We got back from a short trip and found a small lake in our basement from a leaky water heater (some call it a hot water heater, but if it’s hot, why are you heating it?). So we had to get that fixed on short notice. Then came the news of the Brashear trade. What did I miss while I was away? Anything...
