Tom Poti Doubtful To Ever Play Again
For Tom Poti, it has been over a year since he has set foot on the ice in a game for the Washington Capitals. The 34-year-old defenseman has yet to be with the team at all this year, over halfway through the season, but is still trying to rehab his lingering groin injury on his own. Based on comments by Washington Capitals General Manager George McPhee, there is little hope that...

Tom Poti’s Season Over Already?
Just as soon as the NHL season began for players across the league, it potentially ended for Washington Capitals Defenseman, Tom Poti. Poti, who missed 61 games last season due to a recurring groin injury, failed his preseason physical examination on Friday morning. This is most likely good news for the Capitals front office because they will be able to place Poti on the long-term...

Following the Washington Capitals announcement on Saturday that veteran defenseman Tom Poti had failed his medical and would likely be destined for Long Term Injury Reserve, the seemingly clairvoyant GM of the Caps is right where he thought he would come September; cap compliant.
With the removal of Poti...

Tom Poti vs. Scott Gomez
From HockeyFights.com : Tom Poti vs. Scott Gomez
Tom Poti gets the victory, in more ways than one. The judgment of Gomez needs to be questioned with the timing of this fight. It was a major momentum shift in the game, and possibly the series.

The Hockey Gods Must Be Crazy
Like gambling junkies sitting at the one-armed bandits in Vegas, the Hockey Gods simply had to go just one more time. They were unable to let the arguably frenetic series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals end in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
If Game 5 had been weird enough as Tom Poti [...]

Scarlet Fever
When I first heard about Club Scarlet,
I was curious to see what it would turn out to be. So many ideas sound
great in theory, but fare poorly in execution, like caffeinated beer,
deep-fried cupcakes, and "Designing Women" without Delta Burke. (I was
going to add bacon poutine
to that list, but knew there...
