Kings sign Trent Hunter to 1-year deal
The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Trent Hunter to a one-year deal.
The Kings announced the deal Friday for Hunter, the longtime New York Islanders forward.
Hunter spent parts of the last nine seasons with the Islanders, scoring 229 points in 459 career games. He missed most of last season after surgery on his injured left knee, playing in just 17 games.

Devils place RW Hunter, D White on waivers
The New Jersey Devils placed right wing Trent Hunter and defenseman Colin Hunter on waivers Monday.
Hunter, who was acquired from the New York Islanders last week, appeared in only 17 games and had one goal and three assists last season.
White has spent his entire career with the Devils since he was drafted in the second round in 1996. He had six assists in 69 games last season.
