Opportunities far outnumbering goals for Kings

The work ethic is there. Forechecking, puck pursuit, speed it's all being performed with a high compete level. Brad Richardson, Andrei Loktionov and Trevor Lewis have found the chemistry they just haven't found the goals. "We're all kind of faster, speedier guys and like to get on the forecheck and like to create havoc on their D and look for turnovers,"...

Kings ink C Lewis to two-year contract

The Los Angeles Kings signed free-agent center Trevor Lewis to a two-year deal worth $1.45 million. The 17th overall pick of the 2010 draft, Lewis collected three goals, 10 assists and six penalty minutes in 72 games last season. Lewis, 24, performed admirably on the Kings' penalty killing line last year. He averaged over three minutes per game while the team was shorthanded.

Brown, Lewis Push Kings Past Oil

The Kings passed their first test without Kopi at the helm, beating the Oilers 2-0 on Tuesday night.  Granted, the Oilers aren’t the toughest test for the Kings, but it was a solid win and something to build off of as they push for the end of the regular season.   Dustin Brown notched both tallies for the Kings but the man of the night (in my opinion) was Trevor Lewis. ...

Trades Of A Different Kind

from Ian Mendes of Sportsnet, The trade: Philadelphia trades Matt Carle to Los Angeles for Trevor Lewis. The punchline: A Carle-Lewis trade? The league better make sure both players are tested for performance-enhancing drugs. And as an added bonus, I know the perfect guy who can sing the anthem when the Flyers and Kings meet for the first time after this trade. The trade: NY Islanders...

Get to Know the Los Angeles Kings: Trevor Lewis

Periodically, I will present a “Get to Know” feature on most of the Kings players. The forwards will come first, in alphabetical order. *** Trevor Lewis was born on Jan. 8, 1987 in Salt Lake City. He is sometimes called “Lewy.” Kings scribe Rich Hammond called him “an intelligent, quiet leader”. He is the second NHL player from Utah. Had he not signed...

Hammond's Weekly Feature: Trevor Lewis

The Kings wanted Trevor Lewis, but didn't want Minnesota to know they wanted Trevor Lewis. In one of those draft-day stories that sounds like something out of a spy novel, the Kings ended up drafting Lewis in the first round of the 2006 NHL Dra...

Los Angeles Kings Sign RFA’s Clune, Elkins, Cliche and Lewis

Well the title pretty much says it all doesn’t it? Reports have the Los Angeles Kings inking Corey Elkins, Marc- Andre Cliche, Rich Clune and Trevor Lewis to one year deals. It appears that all three have signed their qualifying offers, though certainly we’ll be sure to report otherwise if/when it becomes clear. As a result of the signing, all three will remain Kings...
