Wade Redden Not Invited to Camp
Earlier this summer we learned that Wade Redden, who was demoted to the Connecticut Whale of the AHL last season, had full intentions of attending New York Rangers training camp starting tomorrow. While Wade may have had intentions of himself participating in camp, the Rangers did not.
According to Newsday, the Rangers have not extended an invite to Redden for 2011-12...

Wade Redden Plans to Attend Training Camp
According to Arthur Staple at Newsday, defenseman Wade Redden has full intentions of attending Rangers training camp in September. Redden is currently entering the fourth year of a six-year contract that will pay him $16.5 million over the next four seasons. The salary cap for the 2011-2012 season is going to rise, this much we know. With a rise in the regular salary cap comes a rise in the summer salary cap, which is 10% higher than the regular season cap.
