Flyers defenseman Andrej Meszaros has undergone surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon and is out indefinitely.
Meszaros was injured last week during summer training in Slovakia, and had surgery in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said in a statement.
Meszaros missed 20 games last season and the first 10 of Philadelphia's 11 postseason games....

Andrej Meszaros Could Play Tonight
There are numerous reports today at the Flyers practice that injured defenseman Andrej Meszaros will be in the lineup tonight. Meszaros was skating with the regulars today, while Andreas Lilja was skating with the extras.
Mez has been out since March 19th with a herniated disc. If Mez looks like he is healthy and can be effective, this could be a good thing for the Flyers tonight.
