Red Wings assign 4 players to Grand Rapids of AHL

The Detroit Red Wings have assigned forwards Cory Emmerton, Riley Sheahan and Teemu Pulkkinen, and defenseman Adam Almquist to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. The Red Wings, who made the moves on Thursday, return from the NHL's Olympic break with a game at Montreal on Wednesday. Emmerton has appeared in 11 games for Detroit, notching two assists.
