Slightly over two weeks ago when I last looked at the AHL scoring race nothing was clear.  There was a three-way tie atop the race between Gustav Nyquist of the Grand Rapids Griffins (Detroit Red Wing affiliate), Jeff Taffe of the Hershey Bears (Washington Capital affiliate) and TJ Hensick of the Peoria Rivermen (St Louis Blue affiliate).  Three more players were within two points...

Wild reassign Taffe to Houston

SAINT PAULMINNEAPOLIS, Minn. The Minnesota Wild have reassigned forward Jeff Taffe to the Houston Aeros. Taffe has notched two assists in five games with the Wild this season. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound native of Hastings, Minn., ranks third on Houston in scoring with 32 points (10-22=32) in 47 games and owns four power-play goals.
