The best player in college hockey's toughest conference was not named among the NCAA's top three players Thursday.
University of Denver graduate Joey LaLeggia, who concluded his Pioneers' hockey career in difficult fashion Sunday, signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers on Monday and will join the NHL team's American Hockey League affiliate this weekend.
