So Carkner wasted no time exacting his pound of flesh Saturday night, roughing up Boyle for a second before coldcocking him twice followed by a series of gratuitous body shots at ice level. Wow! National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety is becoming a bit of a joke, seriously... How the hell do they come up with some of these suspensions? We have a player with little talent other than to fight, attacked another player on the ice and punch him on the ice while he is in a vulnerable position? Where is the honor in that? Boyle did end up fighting Chris Neil...
